The Pantsings of Ponyville: Fluttershy

    The crowds of ponies seemed to move as one, all except the shy pony who timidly made her way across the market.
    Fluttershy quietly made her way down the various market stalls, avoiding eye-contact with everypony she came across. At one point, a salespony from one of the stalls yelled at her to try some of his vegetables. Fluttershy froze in terror before bolting away, leaving the salespony momentarily confused before he continued to call out his "cheap bargains from my gardens!" chant at random ponies who walked past.
    Fluttershy wore a bright green dress with a few yellow accents on the top and dark green frills on the bottom, which swung back and forth every time she moved her bottom hooves. Angel Bunny, her pet rabbit, hopped behind her as Fluttershy made her way through the market. She missed the sight of Rainbow Dash, swooping around overhead with her Pegasus friend Lightning Dust following right behind. Angel chittered impatiently behind Fluttershy.
    "Yes, I know, Angel," Fluttershy said to the rabbit behind her, "We're going."
    The pair of them were heading to the carrot stall. Fluttershy hadn't thought she'd go to the market today, but she had gone into the kitchen to find that Angel had eaten all of the carrots in the pantry and was tapping his foot, demanding more. Fluttershy only had a few bits, 3 specifically, but if she remembered correctly carrots were only one bit.
    "I'll only get you a little snack, Angel," Fluttershy decided, "I need the rest of my bits to get a few apples... oh, I hope Applejack isn't charging too much..."
    Angel chittered again, this time excitedly. The carrot stall was in view like a bright orange bunny-beacon. Angel darted toward it, leaving Fluttershy standing behind. Angel's powerful hopping kicked up dust, which surrounded the pegasus pony and made her cough.
    "Oh, Angel! Please wait...!" Fluttershy called out to him. She began walking a little faster to catch up, and bumped into a pony that was walking toward the tomato stall.
    "Hey, watch where you're going!" The mare scolded Fluttershy, who sunk back in terror, "I almost dropped everything out of my saddlebag!"
    "Oh, um... I'm sorry.." Fluttershy apologized, but the mare didn't hear. She continued walking, leaving Fluttershy behind. "I should be more careful..."
    Angel was hopping excitedly at the carrot stand when Fluttershy arrived. The stallion behind the counter was absently reading a newspaper, taking no notice of the small bunny hungrily eyeing his products. The newspaper headline read Super Spinball Smash Party Tonight!
    "Um..." Fluttershy tried to muster the courage to speak to this stranger. The stallion looked up, and Fluttershy's voice caught in her throat. She didn't know what to say, and then felt a tug on her pink mane. She looked down to see Angel with one paw grasping her hair, and the other pointing at a particularly large and vibrantly orange carrot. Fluttershy sighed.
    "We'll take that carrot," She said, unnecessarily pointing her hoof at the carrot Angel was already pointing at. The stallion put his newspaper down and extended a hoof.
    "That'll be five bits."
    "Wh-what?!" Fluttershy said in surprise. "B-but they're usually only one bit!"
    "There wasn't a whole lot of rain during the growing season," The stallion informed her, leaning on the counter to survey her, "You can thank the Pegasus ponies for that."
    Fluttershy suddenly became self-conscious that her wings were extended. Blushing, she folded them.
    "But I only have three bits..."
    "Maybe you'll have better luck at the apple stand over there," the stallion said, glaring at a stand about 30 feet away. Fluttershy saw Applejack standing by the stand, and a shiver went down her back. "I heard they're cheap." When Fluttershy looked back to the carrot stall, the stallion was looking back at his newspaper.
    "Um... I'm sorry Angel," Fluttershy told the fuming bunny, "But I can't afford to get you a carrot."
    Angel's facial expression was like a mix of disbelief and anger. Fluttershy's thoughts raced as she tried to think of a way she could potentially make it up to her pet bunny. Her thoughts went blank, and she couldn't think of anything. After all, carrots were his favorite food, and he would hardly eat dinner if Fluttershy hadn't given him any.
    "Come on, let's go see if Applejack has any apples. That stallion said they were cheeeEEEEEEAAH!"
    While Fluttershy had been mid-sentence, Angel seized the bottom of her dress and pulled. There was a sharp ripping sound, and then Fluttershy felt her dress no longer being tugged. She froze for a second, and then felt a cold breeze between her legs. She looked down and gasped. The entire lower part of her dress was no longer covering her, instead being held in Angel's small paw.
    It took a moment, but then Fluttershy blushed as she came to a horrible realization. Her panties were on display underneath the torn top of her clothing, specifically a pair of tight, bright pink ones with large blue polka dots. Angel looked extremely pleased with himself as he stared at his owner's underwear. Fluttershy stood in place for a moment, an expression of pure surprise caught on her face. She felt the small bunny's eyes glued to her panties, and then another pair of eyes. And then another.
    Fluttershy soon felt the entire marketplace staring at her underwear, and then she felt her face grow warm. She tried to snatch the piece of her dress from Angel, but he pulled it out of her reach. The first pony began to laugh and others soon followed. Fluttershy saw ponies roaring with laughter, some bent over holding their stomachs. Others were pointing at her panties while screaming with laughter.
    "Hey, miss, you got a slight wedgie there!" the carrot-stand stallion managed to choke out between giggles. His newspaper no longer seemed as important, and Fluttershy imagined her embarrassment would make front page tomorrow. Fluttershy's blush deepened, if that was possible.
    Suddenly there was a hoof around her arm, pulling her away. Fluttershy gasped, and looked to see that the hoof belonged to Applejack. The farmpony was pulling her away from the carrot stand and toward the apple stand. Applejack tugged the piece of cloth from Angel and continued dragging Fluttershy away while glaring at the small bunny. The laughing began to die down, and a few ponies began continuing on their way, but Fluttershy couldn't stop blushing. Her face had more color than her mane.
    "It's alrigh', sugarcube," Applejack counselled Fluttershy as she tied the piece of cloth around the shy pegasus's waist, hiding her panties from sight, "Ya can' see 'em anymore."
    "A-Applejack..." Fluttershy tried to speak, but her eyes began to fill with tears. She had just been publicly humiliated in front of the entire Ponyville market, and her blush wasn't showing any signs of stopping.
    Applejack hugged her friend, and Fluttershy hugged her back as tears poured down her face.
    "Now come on," Applejack said when they had separated, "Let's get to Rarity's, ah'm sure she'll have somethin' for ya to wear home!"
